CIPS Level 6 Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply

Following on from CIPS level 5 advanced diploma, level 6 is the final level of the CIPS ladder of qualifications if you are aiming to achieve full membership of The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) (link to obtain MCIPS page). The level 6 graduate diploma consists of 5 units made of 3 compulsory and a further 2 optional units. Listed below are the compulsory units and the 2 optional units on offer with Commercial Skills;

• Leading and influencing in purchasing (compulsory)
• Strategic supply chain management (compulsory)
• Supply chain management in practice (compulsory integrative unit)
• Legal aspects in purchasing (optional)
• Finance for purchasers (optional)

One of these 5 units "Supply chain management in practice" is an integrative unit which is designed to draw together the knowledge and understanding achieved in the other 2 compulsory units and has the option of open book case study examination or work based project. The remaining 4 units are exam based. A distance learning programme, we will provide you with your own tutor, study plan and study materials including DVD lectures to prepare you for your examination or work based project (where applicable). Exams can be taken at a local CIPS approved centre. On completion of level 6 you can you can become a full Member of CIPS which entitles use of the designation, MCIPS after your name.
