Training Needs Analysis (TNA)

The old adage "you don't know what you don't know" is very true when it comes to identifying training needs for a purchasing team in an objective way.

Step (1) where do we want to be

Firstly we engage the key players to agree what skills and knowledge the team should have to deliver a high performing procurement operation. This can include either developing or reviewing the existing competence framework.

Step (2) where are we now

This is the assessment phase of mapping the current levels of skill and knowledge for the team. It can include a combination of: Step (3) how do we get there

At this stage we present the findings of step (2) to the client to include:

  • Benchmarked competence levels across the procurement process

  • A proposed development programme
